Just a heads up that I've started a new Mraz community over at mraz_fans where I'm going to be posting updates to my downloads list and news and such. For some reason the new moderation in this community keeps blocking my update posts so feel free to swing over and join if you're interested.

Lyrics (I correcte this already )
The World As I See It The world as I see it, is a remarkable place A beautiful house in a forest, of stars in outer space. From a birds eye view, I can see it has a well-rounded personality From a birds eye view, I can see we are family.
It’s not hard for me to love you Hard for me to love you No it’s not a difficult thing It’s not hard for me to love you Hard for me to love you Because you are the world to me.
Yeah the world as I see it, is a remarkable place Every man makes a difference And every mothers child is a saint From a birds eye view I can see, we are spiralling down in gravity From a birds eye view I can see, you are just like me.
It’s not hard for me to love you Hard for me to love you No it’s not a difficult thing It’s not hard for me to love you Oh I really love you unconditionally
No it’s not hard for me to love you Hard for me to love you No it’s not a difficult thing. It’s not hard for me to love you Oh I really love you Like you are the world to me.
You are the mountain, you are the rock You are the cord and you’re the spark You are the eagle, you are the lark You are the world and you’re remarkable You’re the ocean eating the shore You are the calm inside the storm You’re every emotion, you can endure You are the world, the world is yours.
It’s not hard for me to love you Hard for me to love you No it’s not a difficult thing No it’s not hard for me to love you Hard for me to love you Unconditionally
No it’s not hard for me to love you Hard for me to love you No it’s not a difficult thing. It’s not hard for me to love you Hard for me to love you Because you are the world to me
No it’s not hard for me to love you Hard for me to love you No it’s not a difficult thing. It’s not hard for me to love you Hard for me to love you Because you are the world to me. And the world as I see it, is a remarkable place

[13 Sep 2011|04:52pm] |

THIS JUST IN!
While everyone still can’t get over on Shamcey Supsup for not winning the Miss Universe 2011 title, I on the other hand, am still on cloud nine when I received the newsletter. Yes, Jason Mraz is coming to Manila on October 30, 8pm at the Araneta Coliseum for an acoustic evening with Toca Rivera! La La La love =)

| New Tune - "I Never Knew You" |
[09 Aug 2011|04:43pm] |
Jason broke out a new tune at the Whistler gig on the 5th and the video is up on Youtube. If it sounds a bit familiar, he was work-shopping it in this video from last year.
If folks want me to upload an MP3 I will.
Enjoy!
EDIT: There's also this tune he did at soundcheck. I thought it might actually be a cover from the sound of it, but Google had nothing for me so I'm calling it a brand new.

| New Website + "Special Announcement" |
[15 Jul 2011|07:37pm] |
Jasonmraz.com got an overhaul and is touting an upcoming "special announcement". Speculation is that it's in regards to the new album, but it could also have something to do with the Jason and Toca 10th anniversary tour that Jason hinted at a while back (second to last paragraph). Time will tell, but for now head on over and take a spin through the new site. Feel free to share your impressions in the comments.

I wish I had news to report, I really do. The new album is still in the relatively early stages (J recently mentioned that he's up to 70 songs in the bank) and there's not a whole heck of a lot going on in the Mraz camp otherwise.
As such, just because, I present to you my top 5 Mraz cover tunes. These are all on my download page, but if you want direct links let me know.
In the Name of Love - Kenny Rankin Dear Anna - Carlos Olmeda Unravel - Bjork Future Boy - Turin Brakes Summer Breeze - Seals & Crofts
I would welcome your top 5 as well. A complete-ish list of covers can be found here. GO!

| Great New Show Recording - 7 New Tunes! |
[04 Apr 2011|07:12pm] |
The always fully awesome Jon Koch, posted a fantastic recording of a recent Mraz gig from mid-march during which J played 7 of his new(ish) tunes. It's a Matrix tape meaning the soundboard source was mixed with floor mics to make for a balanced, clear and nearly professional sounding tape. I'm going to post the one brand new tune ("What We Love is What We Become") in mp3 here, but please head over to the archive link and download the whole set in lossless format. It's worth your time for the full and clear version of "You Fuckin' Did It" alone. Here's the link and full setlist:
Jason Mraz w/Toca Rivera (feat. Raining Jane) - Live at Linksoul Lab 03/11/2011
Vallie introduces Jason They Shaped My Life Thinkin' About You All Dialed In You Fuckin' Did It Frank D. Fixer Sail Away What We Love Is What We Become (<-MP3 download)
All thanks to Jon for this. If you ever run into one of the dedicated Mraz tapers at a show down the road, give them a high five and say thanks.
If you have questions about downloading and converting from Archive, don't hesitate to ask.
Enjoy!

| You want more new tunes? You got it. |
[31 Jan 2011|01:07pm] |
The ramp-up has begun for the new album. The Mraz website, as well as RKOP are in for major changes in the coming months and J is busy laying down tracks and still writing for the new album, not-so-tentatively titled "LOVE". With that in mind, I've uploaded a few new things for ya'll to check out if you haven't already, some newer than others. As always, you can find my entire collection listed HERE and I'd appreciate a comment if you're snagging anything. If you have any trouble with the files let me know.
Lucky feat. Tristan Prettyman - They did this one together for the first time at the Feeding the Soul event in December. Tristan was not proud of her performance, but I can't imagine this will be the last time they perform it. Years Go Fast (AKA: When We Die) - With Raining Jane. There's a video of this one HERE. Sail Away - From the same short set with Raining Jane. Rescue (acoustic) - I already have this one uploaded with the full band, but it's quite different acoustic. High Friend - Written and performed with The Natters at the Feeding the Soul event. Just Be Honest - This is a video rip from one of the impromptu shows J did when he was driving back from VA to CA. Video HERE. You Fuckin' Did It! - This was the first known performance of this tune. It's missing a bit and has already changed somewhat since, as you can hear in THIS VIDEO of another performance.
Enjoy!

in celebration, one of my favorite songs by them, which is kinda appropriate considering tomorrow's christmas. (there's a newer version in a recent entry - this is an older one.) happy holidays, everyone! =]

| Full Ottawa Show (Oct 5, 2010) in HD on Youtube & A Couple New MP3s |
[07 Nov 2010|03:02pm] |
Things are pretty quiet around here so I thought I'd post this up for folks who might be interested in watching. Some great new tunes and awesome versions of old favorites. All thanks to Youtube user Hekskey for taping and uploading. You can watch the whole show on his Youtube channel HERE. Here's "Song for a Dancer" as a sample of the quality.
There's full lossless audio of this show available on Archive.org HERE.
Here's an MP3 of the tune that doesn't have a firm title at the moment but is being called Rescue or I'll Never Let You Down, from the above show.
While I'm here, I don't think I ever uploaded a version of "In Your Hands", so here's an MP3 of that from the show at the Santa Barbara Bowl on 10/08/2010.
Comments always welcome and appreciated.
Enjoy!
