And, it AWESOMELY involved this AWESOME man.

My friends and I met Toca before the show and being the amazing man that he is, he stepped beyond the barrier to say hi and pose for a few pictures with us.

Okay, so. Before I tell you about the show, here's the setlist (got it signed by Bruce, is it? the bassist, and Mike/Leroy, the drummer!)

It was a sold out show and we were lucky enough to be front and centre. Well, actually the floor seats were numbered and many of us felt that it was stupid because NO ONE SITS during a Mraz concert. So why the hell put seats? So we obviously barely stayed in our seats...and annoyed the life out of the venue ushers by going against what they planned and choked up the centre isle. And we got to be right in front!
The crowd energy was INSANE. I'm pretty sure everyone in the room, no matter how much they paid, had the time of their lives. I'm not too sure whether he played them in the previous shows, but there was Unfold, Who Needs Shelter, No Stopping Us and MR CURIOSITY!!!! (Okay like you guys can't already read from the setlist picture. Hur hur.) His voice was AMAZING (of course) and I loved how he sang "take it fucking easy" during the opera bit. Haha. Not only did he play You and I Both (rare these days, I heard) but he played Sleeping to Dream in the middle! I nearly cried. Shit you not. I thought I died and went to heaven.
Fact: Heaven would be a BLAST with Mraz and his band in it.
A Beautiful Mess was, in my opinion, highlight of the night because they played it so beautifully (sorry for the lack of a better word, lol). I'm quite sure I got goosebumps, and the dude next to me cried. But of course he denied it later.
Butterfly, obviously, made everybody dance. It's definitely the best choice for a closing number.
During one of the songs (either Butterfly or No Stopping Us), he and the saxophone player (I'm sorry I don't know his name!) had a little exchange where he would mock playing the saxophone and expect the guy to do better. And then toca swings his towel. I'm not sure why. In support of...whoever. Haha.

After the show, we waited for them to come out and greet us (such high hopes). The band members came out first to say hi and make us shut up (too much screaming going on). Then, lo and behold, IT STARTED TO RAIN. But of course, being such dedicated fans, we stayed behind and hoped against hope that Jason would come out and greet us in the rain. We were prepared to love him a hundred times more, if that's even possible.
Then, the amazing Toca came out and started DANCING for us in the rain. Sigh, Toca.

So, despite our efforts in braving the cold, wet weather, we were told by the people at the venue..and I quote: "The artist has left the building. You can all go."
Disappointed, we all went home. But still, it did not change how we felt that night. I spent the whole of today smiling like an idiot to myself, deliberately playing Beautiful Mess on repeat.
Here are some videos and pictures that I took!

OH JASON, THE THINGS WE DO FOR YOU.
[edit]

The security was being really difficult so we had to deal with quite a bit before getting the best view.
And LOL I know right. It's like. Suddenly the whole stadium was at his feet.

It was beyond amazing, when Jason started playing all the old school, and my friends and I recognized it, we effin' SHRIEKED, and the people around us were like EH? Seriously. Homies paid 150 bucks for 3 songs? lol.
Not gonna lie. I CRIED when he started You and I Both, because I know it's very rare for him to sing it these days, and it's my fav song ever so really, how could I not cry.
awesome post luv!

I'm so glad he played You and I Both - I didn't think he would, after hearing what others said about the tour, and it's the first song I heard by him and I NEEDED to hear it live. And A Beautiful Mess was gorgeous. Do not blame that dude for crying.
YOUR T-SHIRT IS LEGENDARY, though. Fantastic!
